i-comworld™ is a truly active networking tool. As an interactive platform it works harder than a traditional website but only requires a PC and (free) small downloadable browser plug-in (or stand alone CD version) to run the application. There are a variety of activities which can be incorporated into a client’s programme, as and when required.
We can deliver any level of graphic quality and visitor experience from photorealism with interaction to rival today’s best computer games, through to a super fast downloadable functional interaction. The final visitor experience is a calculated compromise of age and capability of the visitor’s computer, their internet connection speed and the desired distribution method. These disciplines can be optimised to deliver a surprisingly high quality end product. And what’s more, we can advise on the best configuration of all these aspects to deliver the optimum visitor experience.
Below are examples of the types of activities companies might consider incorporating into their
i-comworld™
Activities3D Conferencing |
FeaturesEnables a meeting in situ – whether this is on an oil rig or in a car plant undertaking a 5-point walk around a new car. A video conference will not be dynamic but static. |
BenefitsEnables the visitors to take in vast amounts of information visually so there is no need to read or explain in detail. |
The environment can be updated to keep in line with new developments/changes |
Saves costly updates when products are changed or updated. |
|
It is truly 3D and not just a set of given (multiple) parameters. |
Means that each attendee can modify and experiment – for example if demonstrating a new store gantry layout, the attendees can be invited to move the products around to suit their own store limitations. |
|
Increased attendance and interaction |

Activities3D e-learning |
FeaturesGroup sessions (with real or generated avatar colleagues) assists learning |

Engaging young techno savvy audience |
|
Reduce cost of travel |
||
24/7 worldwide learning availability |

ActivitiesConference Bag |
FeaturesA “Shopping Cart” for downloadable items |
Benefits |
In ordinary web environments visitors are forced to download items as they reach them. Conference Bag allows you to hold these items together and then download at a later time when convenient. |
Prevents distractions and time wasted so enabling the visitor to get more out of his visit and then later when ready, download and digest the information selected. |
|
ActivitiesMultiple Languages |
FeaturesQuick and easy to change the online environment language – as web technology |
BenefitsA more cost effective way of handling multiple languages – video would have to be re-shot with new graphics/background for each languages |
ActivitiesNet Meeting |
FeaturesTrue 3d online meetings in situ whether this is on an oil rig or in a car plant undertaking a 5-point walk around a new car. A video conference will not be dynamic but static. |
BenefitsEnables the visitors to take in vast amounts of information visually so there is no need to read or explain in detail. |

||
Equivalent cost of meeting in real terms at a given production location. |
Note: Although we are not ‘replacing’ net meeting (if a client just wants a boardroom meeting out of context with their products then Net Meeting is just the ticket) We can support net meeting features such as whiteboard etc but this would be outside the environment like we do with video etc.
| Personal Guides | FeaturesEnables the visitor to select his guide – have Alan Sugar show you around premises or John Cleese taking training session. |
BenefitsAn inventive way to get attention and to make sure your information is absorbed and memorable |
Not static – a reactive avatar |
||
May help to lift an otherwise difficult or boring subject/tour or add gravitas to the subject or presentation. We have not yet found another competitor offering exactly this |
Note: Gimmicky – but fun! Not as realistic as a video but effective as part of the mix

Controlled – no access to external diversions |
Can bring together geographically displaced teams and colleagues |
Note: No significant additional value over traditional environments, but would be effective as part of the mix
